The post involves managing programmes and day-to-day operations for Refugee Cafe, a charity which provides training and experience for refugees in Lewisham and neighbouring areas to support them into employment, primarily in the hospitality sector.
We are looking for a motivated and flexible Programme Manager to effectively lead a formalised training course in catering, hospitality and employability skills which we’ll be running in partnership with Lewisham College Hospitality Hub. This year we are also partnering with the Albany in Deptford where our trainee cooks and chefs will be based two days a week, running a lunchtime service at the cafe. Alongside this, our operations may extend to community dinners and other occasional events, sales to traders and markets, and other special promotions.
